Samantha bagged the top 1 and 2 hits of 2013 thus leaving others far behind. She has also tasted a double failure besides this double bonanza. Jabardast and Ramayya Vastavayya were rare flops from this actress that is labeled as the lucky mascot by many.
Kajal Agarwal has two hits Nayak and Badshah to her credit. But her focus has now shifted to Tamil cinema. She is not signing any Telugu films for reasons better known to her.
Anushka regained her status with Mirchi. Her next release this year Varna was a huge disaster. But Anushka has the most prestigious projects in her hand. There is no looking back for her until 2016.
Tamanna had only one release in Telugu this year. Tadakha was a hit and her Bollywood release Himmatwala was a miserable flop. Tamanna signs of this year on a happy note. She bagged Aagadu with Mahesh Babu and a role in Rajamouli’s Bahubali. She will also pair up with Ram Charan in Krishna Vamsi film.
Shruti Haasan scored a hit with Balupu and tasted flop with Ramayya Vastavayya. She has appeared in two Hindi films this year. She has Yevadu and Race Gurram lined up for next year.
Nayanatara’s comeback isn’t sensational in Tollywood. Greeku Veerudu flopped but her reentry in Tamil cinema is a hit. She bagged two hits in Tamil with Raja Rani and Arambham.
Nitya Menen had a mixed year with Gunde Jaari Gallantayyinde scoring big hit and her other films Okkadine and Jabardast tanking at the box office.
Anjali, who made a comeback in Telugu films this year, did three films. SVSC is a hit and made her very popular as Seetha. Balupu also was a hit, but with Masala she has to taste one failure. She was also in news for wrong reasons.
Taapsee’s disastrous run in Tollywood continued this year. Gundello Godari and Shadow were flops and Sahasam was just an average fare. She had succeeded in Bollywood with Chasme Baddoor and in Tamil with Arambam.
Charmi is still hanging around by taking up every chance that comes her way. Sevakudu, Prema Oka Maikam were disasters in Telugu and her Hindi film Zila Ghaziabad met the same fate. She did an item song each in hit movies Nayak and R… Rajkumar.
Shriya’s only release Pavitra was a flop. She is a part of Akkineni multistarrer Manam.
Priyamani’s Chandi was a super flop but her item song in Chennai Express was a hit.
